This cross-back apron has two slanted front patch pockets and is made from a thick slubby French homespun linen/hemp sheet. It was hand-dyed with walnut husks to create a light putty colour.
This style of apron is easy and comfortable to wear and can be worn for working or going out, over a simple slip dress or jeans.

Slubby hemp/linen cross-back apron dyed with walnut husks
This type of home-spun hemp/linen fabric was hand-woven in France on small looms. It's been around a long time - possibly as much as 100 years - so you may find mends, marks or patches on your apron. The fabric was made to last and in my opinion will look better and better the more it is patched and mended.
